ATTNPLZ developed an award-winning look to separate CXC from the crowd.

Campaign x collective

ATTNPLZ offers branding for companies and organizations of all sizes. A brand is more than a logo, it’s a wholistic statement of your mission, values, and culture, defining how you’re different from the competition.

A well-defined brand forms a memorable impression, driving marketing efforts and making them more impactful.

ATTNPLZ’s Bakari Kamau worked with Campaign X Co’s (CXC) leadership team to develop and design the company’s brand, which won the 2022 Reed Award for Best Political Firm Branding.

To design the brand we started by defining the values and mission of CXC. Then, we honed in on key features of the brand which might guide the design.

The brand needed to feature an X made from the sum of its parts. It needed a reference to the service or product. It needed to have “startup energy” among a sea of reserved brands from more established firms.

Several drafts were explored at depth. Ultimately, CXC decided a version of the third draft held the most potential. After further iteration, a final design was settled on.

The final branding hit all the marks we were after. The main colors - shades of red, green, and blue, represent the primary colors in modern displays - a reference to CXC’s digital ad products, and the halftoned X is a reference to CXC’s direct mail products. A friendly, rounded, geometric font was chosen to complement the dots in the design. CXC’s printed media features a “meta X” illustration made from elements of the mark repeated hundreds of thousands of times. It represents the solutions we’re seeking and the noise we cut through to find them.
